HOUSEHOLDS AND FAMILIES: In 2005 there were 42,000 households in Wayne County. The average household size was 2.6 people.
Families made up 70 percent of the households in Wayne County. This figure includes both married-couple families (56 percent) and other families (13 percent). Nonfamily households made up 30 percent of all households in Wayne County.
